What this platform is for
RF45A is the long-body version of the air-mouse design: 211 mm, a wider key surface, the same Realtek platform and six-axis sensor.
Where 16C is compact, RF45A is laid out for two-handed living-room use, and for key sets that will not fit on a shorter body.
