Solutions
Four control environments. Four different definitions of “it has to just work.”
A hotel remote and a streaming remote can share a radio and still require opposite decisions about sealing, pairing, key count and validation. Start from the environment, not the enclosure.
TV, AV & Streaming
One handset for the old box and the new one.
Viewers do not care which generation of hardware is in the room. They care that one remote turns on the TV, switches to the soundbar and finds the right input.
The program usually starts with an IR code library, a BLE voice requirement and a key layout that has to make sense to someone who has never read a manual.
- Legacy IR control plus a BLE streaming device
- Voice button, app pairing or both
- Multi-device switching with discrete codes
- CE, FCC or UKCA certification for the target market
Smart Home & Integration
A control layer that belongs to your system.
For hubs, AV integrators and control platforms, the remote is part of the installation. Pairing, firmware updates and recovery matter more than the logo on the housing.
We work from your protocol document or receiver sample, then build the handset and the deployment logic around it.
- BLE, RF or 2.4 GHz link to an existing system
- White-label firmware and installer key map
- OTA updates and a recoverable pairing flow
- Batch provisioning and replacement units
Hospitality & Care
A remote that needs no explanation.
Hotel rooms, care homes and serviced apartments put the same device in thousands of hands. It has to be cleanable, idiot-proof and replaceable without a site visit.
The design work is mostly about sealing, tactile key groups, cleaning compatibility and pre-configuration per property.
- Sealed keypad and cleanable housing
- IR + BLE control for mixed TV generations
- Batch configuration and property labels
- Multi-language keypad and simple guest logic
Smart Furniture & Motion
Control for something that moves for ten years.
Beds, recliners, shades and adjustable desks are used every day and serviced almost never. The handset has to be ergonomic, low-power and resistant to the wrong button being held down.
We design around the receiver that already exists, then tune the RF link, key feel and power budget.
- RF 433 / 868 or BLE link to an existing receiver
- Large tactile keys with press protection
- Multi-year battery target
- Custom ID without changing the control electronics
Compare
The brief changes. The evidence does not.
Every environment needs a protocol answer, a durability answer and a delivery answer. The emphasis shifts; the requirement to show proof does not.
| Environment | Who buys | Typical stack | The first question | Proof we bring |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TV / AV & Streaming | TV, projector, set-top box, audio and streaming brands | IR + BLE | Can one remote control the installed base and the new device? | Code library coverage, key-map review, pre-scan report |
| Smart Home & Integration | Hubs, AV integrators, control platforms | BLE / 2.4G / RF | Can it join our pairing, provisioning and OTA flow? | Protocol test plan, pairing sequence, firmware update path |
| Hospitality & Care | Hotel TV and room-control providers, care operators | IR + BLE, sealed | Will it survive cleaning, guests and turnover? | Sealing method, cleaning compatibility, batch configuration |
| Smart Furniture & Motion | Bed, recliner, shade and adjustable-furniture brands | RF / BLE, low power | Will it still work in year five on one battery set? | Power budget, key-life test, receiver compatibility |

Not sure where you fit?
Start with the device, not the industry.
Tell us what has to be controlled, which radio it uses and where it ships. We will map it to the closest program and tell you what is standard, what is custom and what needs a test.
- Device model or a sample remote
- Protocol document, if one exists
- Target markets and certification requirements
- Annual volume and first-order quantity
- Target launch window
